Purim is basically Jewish Halloween — costumes, a little chaos, and a 2,000-year-old story about resilience. So naturally… we’re throwing our 2nd annual JIW cannabis industry (and friends) Purim Party. Costumes? Yes. L’chaim? Also yes. Community? Always.

On Monday night, nearly 100 Jews and allies gathered in NYC for the 2nd Annual Jews in Weed Purim Party.
At a time when the world feels tense — when the Middle East is in conflict and Jewish communities globally are navigating complicated emotions — choosing to gather in joy feels powerful.
Purim is a holiday about resilience. It’s the story of a Jewish woman, Queen Esther, who rose up in ancient Persia (modern-day Iran) and helped save her people. It’s serious. It’s theatrical. It’s loud. It’s celebratory.
And this year, celebrating together felt especially meaningful.
Costumes were committed.
Hamantaschen were consumed.
