How did Hall of Flowers week go?
Jews in Weed brought the community together all week during Hall of Flowers NYC. We kicked things off on Monday night with The History of Weed at Caveat, an evening with author and journalist David Bienenstock (read his Highly Kosher Professionals Q&A). Then on Wednesday morning we took over The Delancey Rooftop on the Lower East Side for the Hall of Flowers NYC Bagel Bash.
What happened on the rooftop?
Under the plant walls and disco balls, the bar turned into a bagel counter, and the coffee came two ways, infused and uninfused. Vendors tabled throughout the morning, including Tokin' Jew with Tokin' Chews and a few Yiddish-minded caps and pillows. A JumpLights photo booth printed strips in the Jews in Weed frame, and a Jerome Baker bong raffle kept people holding on to their tickets until the end.
The photos tell the rest: old friends, new introductions and a rooftop full of people who came for a bagel and stayed for the conversation before heading to the show.
